Refreshing adventure about kids searching for treasure from the Murakami pirates, set against the natural beauty of the Seto Inland Sea. Director Omori Kenichi also penned the script, which won the Angel Road Screenplay Contest Grand Prize at the 2011 Setouchi International Children’s Film Festival.
Murakami Kaede (Shibata Kyoka), the last descendent of the Murakami pirates from the Warring States period, discovers an old flute in a storehouse. It is a clue to the location of the buried treasure that has been rumored over the generations in the Murakami family. Kaede embarks on a search for the treasure to help the islanders, who are rocked by the closure of a ferry line.
