Drama based on Yumoto Kazumi’s same-titled novel about a girl traumatized by her father’s death, and her relationship with a mysterious old lady. Directed by Omori Kenichi, whose film Samurai Pirates was screened at LA EigaFest 2013 and other festivals.
Eight-year-old Chiaki (Honda Miyu), who has lost her beloved father, meets the grandmotherly landlady (Nakamura Tamao) of the Poplar apartments where she moves. Chiaki believes the landlady’s claim that she can deliver letters to the deceased, and writes letters to her father…
